Today marked the official sealing of a tripartite agreement between the PTDF, the French Embassy and CampusFrance Nigeria, regarding the PTDF Overseas Scholarship Programme.

The Ag. Executive Secretary Mr. Ahmed Galadima Aminu endorsed the MoU on behalf of the Fund while Mr. Dornon Arnaud, Head of Cooperation and Cultural Affairs Embassy of France in Nigeria and Director of the Institut Français du Nigéria, represented the French Embassy.

The partnership agreement with the French Embassy through CampusFrance will provide some concessions for the PTDF Scholars such as; exemption from payment of registration and tuition fees, free health insurance, priority access to public student residence, free visa fees and the scholars will have the status of “scholar of the French Government”.

In his statement, the Ag. Executive Secretary disclosed that 13 scholars have already been given admission to study in France as pioneer beneficiaries of this partnership. These students were selected out of the rigorous selection process of PTDF Overseas Scholarship Scheme to ensure that only the best candidates were awarded.

He commended the French Embassy for the friendship, zeal and commitment in having the MoU signed. “It is my pleasure to be part of this great and mutually beneficial bilateral relationship, I would like to reiterate our commitment to putting the action plans to perspective and implementing them. I have a strong team with me to consolidate and handle other logistics as we move on”
